MEVEX RF Driver
The RF Driver power module is a critical component in any klystron-powered accelerator. The RF Driver power module consists of a low power RF source and a multi-stage, fully solid state power amplifier with isolated output.
MEVEX uses a solid state RF source for reliability and stability. It is modular and adaptable, providing superior performance with a straightforward design. The RF Driver assembly is designed and built at MEVEX.
The MEVEX RF Driver produces low-level microwave power. The RF Driver powers a klystron amplifier, providing high power microwaves that can be used to produce high energy electron beam. The RF Driver frequency can be controlled internally or externally by an AFC circuit.
MEVEX has a number of different RF Driver models that may be used with different types of machines including Siemens Mevatrons, PRIMUS, and MEVEX Industrial Accelerators.
